The Fag Paper Election

steve bell at the Guardian

Cos you couldn't get a fag paper between the 'main' parties - Kill Iraqi's/Subsidise Big Business/Privatise Public Services/Persecute Minorities.

Vote for an alternative to the anti-human neo-liberal crap.

Vote Scottish Socialist Party, Forward Wales or Respect. If they're not standing in your constituency vote Green. If you're lucky enough to have one of the tiny number of socialist Labour MP's vote for them.

But vote for what you believe in.

I know you may say that I've been here before, but you've also been here before, so .... I will definitely NOT be voting for the candidate whose party is courting the vote of a particular faith, which, like all other other-worldly faiths, has an anti-human element at its core. Not only that, but that faith also aims to persecute minorities (and,in government, does so in many parts of the world). So, as I say, for scientific reason, intellectual discourse, the enlightenment and the progress that can be made from bourgeouis liberal democracy to my preferred aim of a socialist future, I will definitely NOT be voting for Respect. I'll stick with the mass party of the working class!

So Reidski you are voting Labour, yet can't even bring yourself to name them. I mean, don't vote Respect if they upset you that much. I think your wrong but I can understand where you are coming from. But voting for Tony? After Iraq? Better to spoil your ballot paper.

And if we are going to debate theology let's keep it civil.

Reidski and civil don't usually go together, but I promise I'll try.

But the point is: Respect has next to no support from the trade union movement in England. The Labour Party still enjoys the support of the vast majority of trade unions in England.
Also, we live in different countries, so I'll try not to tell you how to vote if you try not to tell people in England or Wales how they should vote.
