Figures by Paolozzi, originally uploaded by alister.The great Scots-Italian sculptor Eduardo Paolozzi died on April 22nd of this year. These figures he designed for the National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street Edinburgh give a good indication of his extraordinary talent and imagination. They are actually display cases holding decorative artefacts found in Scotland.
For example, this gold hair ornament was found in the North East of Scotland and dates from approx. 1200 BC.
