Love and Rockets: New Stories #1 by The Hernandez Brothers
I have been a massive fan of the work of Los Bros Hernandez for more than twenty years. Jaime Hernandez is an amazing artist in the tradition of Herge. He doesn't write about boy detectives though. Rather the lives of a group of characters, mostly hispanic, in California. Sometimes mundane sometimes fantastic. His brother Gilbert is a great writer in the tradition of Garcia-Marquez who brings new depth to comics writing with his magical-realist tales.
This is the first of their new annual format. I recommend it.

Cider with bloggie
On this occasion the lack of blogging has been down to holidays (where the only gig seen was Paul McCartney bizarrely enough) rather than laziness. Will try to get down to some more soon.
In the meantime a blog from a friend, blogging away in a pub in Devon. It's a tough job etc..
